Intake (Application Status)
Waiting List/Application Status
As of September 1, 2025, the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) waiting list is closed.
At this time, you will not be able to access or update your HCV registration information online. Please don’t worry — your application will not be withdrawn for being unable to make updates during this period.
We will post a notification once the system reopens and updates can be made again.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
RETURN TO WAIT LIST/WITHDRAWALS
- Returned to the Waiting List: If you receive notice that you have been returned to the waiting list, your original application date will be retained. Appeals are not permitted once you have been returned to the waiting list.
- Withdrawn: If you receive notice that you have been withdrawn, you have 10 calendar days to submit a written appeal. Informal hearings do not guarantee a reversal of the decision.
- Conditional Denial: If you receive a conditional denial letter, you have additional time to provide all missing required documents/information by the due date specified. Failure to provide all required information will result in your application being withdrawn.
IF YOU WERE ISSUED A VOUCHER
Your voucher will expire 180 days after issuance. If it expires, you will be withdrawn from the waitlist. No extensions will be granted beyond 180 days. To transfer out of Riverside County through portability, submit your request in writing at least 30 days before your voucher's expiration date.
