The Housing Authority has partnered with www.affordablehousing.com, which provides an enhanced program to list rental properties on line. Listings are available to potential Housing Choice Voucher tenants seeking apartment units, duplexes, single-family homes or townhomes in the private market.
This is a COURTESY listing only. Landlords and tenants are not pre-approved or pre-screened by the Housing Authority. Tenants and landlords are responsible for doing their own background screening and for following their own approval process. It is expected that each party will sign at least a one year Lease Agreement. In addition, the landlord will sign a one year Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) Contract with the Housing Authority.

In order to list your property you must register for the affordable housing website. There are three ways to list your property with affordablehousing.com for free - they are by computer, by fax, or by mail. For fastest service and to access all of GO8’s free features it is recommended that you add your listing online at www.affordablehousing.com.
If you do not have internet access then you can add a free listing by either fax or mail. If you wish to print and fax, or mail the Property Listing Form, it is available here: Property Listing Form - affordable housing. For verbal instructions on how to list by fax or mail please call affordable housing toll free at 866.466.SEC8 (7328) and press “2” for Landlord options. If you are having difficulty listing online and need technical assistance please press “4”.
In order for a lease and tenancy to be approved under the voucher program, the rent must be affordable for the family (tenant's share of rent and utility allowance can be no more than 40 percent of the family's monthly income) as well as reasonable in comparison to the rental market. Many rents far exceed the payment standard and are therefore not viable for the voucher program.
Landlords are prohibited by the voucher regulations from requesting or accepting any payments in excess of the Housing Authority approved rental payments. Voucher payment standards are listed here.
